No, if you are taking the October or March test, you will do the registration through school. If you are taking a national test, you will need to register through ACT®
ACT® has many free resources available including full practice tests. Here is a link to their resources.
The national test, including English, Math and Reading costs $65, $4 for the Science add-on and $25 for the writing test. This includes a report to you, your high school and up to 4 universities, if you provide the code during registration.
Scores are available through your MyACT account. Multiple choice scores are typically available two weeks after each national test; however, they can take up to 8 weeks. Writing scores are typically available two weeks after multiple choice scores are released.
By purchasing ACT My Answer Key, you will receive a digital copy of the test questions, your answers, the answer key and the conversion table use to determine your ACT score. If you took the writing test, you will also receive a copy of the prompt, the scoring rubric and your scores.
You will receive the digital materials within MyACT a few weeks after your score is released.
The next option is Saturday tests in October 2025, April 2026, and June 2026.
